[Movies] Sony Extends Michael Jackson's This Is It Posted by Ashish on 11.02.2009
Movie will remain in theaters for awhile...
Pretty much everyone saw this coming but Sony has made it official. After pushing that Michael Jackson's This Is It would only be in theaters for two weeks, a move designed to generate buzz and advance ticket sales, the movie will now remain in theaters through Thanksgiving in the U.S. One would assume that it will also be extended overseas, where it's actually performing better than it is here.
The film has already earned over $100 million, two-thirds of which came from overseas markets.
Smart move really. People can be more inclined to spend money for it now as opposed to during Halloween

It was predictable that this "movie" would be around a while. What kind of morons actaully thought it would only be out a little while.
Jacksons death is a cash cow, the milkking has only just begun!
